SUMINAGASHI Coffee Table 1 is a collaborative design by DONNA and the Ukrainian design studio DECORKUZNETSOV, founded by Ekaterina and Valerii Kuznetsov. The piece is inspired by the ancient Japanese painting technique suminagashi, known for its fluid ink patterns formed on water.

The defining feature of the table is its distinctive surface pattern, created using an exclusive paint application technology. Each tabletop is individually produced, and the ink-like composition cannot be replicated. Every piece is therefore unique in its visual structure.

The table is characterised by smooth lines and a restrained, minimalistic form. The design focuses on clarity of silhouette and precision of detail, allowing the surface pattern to remain the central visual element. Support structures may vary according to the client’s preference. The legs continue the Japanese conceptual reference of the product and reflect a geometric construction inspired by origami principles.

SUMINAGASHI Coffee Table 1 is manufactured from painted MDF using a proprietary patterning technology. This process ensures durability, structural quality, and long-term surface performance. Clients can select a colour from a curated palette developed to reflect the original concept. The selection includes classic ink-inspired tones as well as contemporary accent colours aligned with current interior trends. The palette allows precise integration into different design schemes while maintaining the integrity of the original artistic idea.
