The SUMINAGASHI Dining Table is a collaborative design by DONNA and the Ukrainian design studio DECORKUZNETSOV, founded by Ekaterina and Valerii Kuznetsov. The concept is inspired by the ancient Japanese painting technique suminagashi, known for its fluid ink patterns formed on water.

The defining feature of the table is its distinctive tabletop, created using an exclusive paint application technology. Each pattern is formed individually and cannot be duplicated, ensuring that every dining table is unique in its visual composition.

The SUMINAGASHI Dining Table is characterised by smooth lines and a minimalistic architectural form. The design is intentionally restrained, allowing the expressive ink-effect surface to remain the focal point. The structure of the supports can be adapted according to the client’s requirements. The geometry of the legs reflects a Japanese-inspired aesthetic, with forms that subtly reference origami construction. This approach provides structural stability while maintaining visual clarity.

Welcome to UPD club

The table is manufactured from painted MDF using a proprietary patterning technology. This production method ensures high quality, durability, and long-term surface performance. Due to the exclusive application process, the patterns on SUMINAGASHI tabletops cannot be replicated in any facility.

A curated colour palette is available to accurately reflect the original concept developed by DECORKUZNETSOV. The selection includes classic ink-inspired tones as well as contemporary accent colours, allowing precise adaptation to individual interiors while preserving the integrity of the design.
