Sculptural wall panels are handcrafted in Scotland from a bio-mineral composite developed to combine expressive architectural surfaces with functional performance.
The material is made from recycled cellulose fibres recovered from packaging waste and a lime-based mineral matrix containing calcium carbonate, marble dust and natural binders. During the curing process, the lime absorbs CO₂ through carbonation, while the material remains completely plastic-free and fully biodegradable at the end of its life.
Each panel is individually hand-sculpted rather than pressed or moulded. This creates subtle variations in texture and surface, giving every installation a unique character inspired by the principles of wabi-sabi and natural imperfection.

Made from a bio-mineral material
Our composite is made from recycled cellulose fibre bound in a mineral matrix of lime, chalk and natural protein binders, applied by hand onto a wood-wool base board. It is formulated without plastics, synthetic surface coatings or solvents. The cellulose comes from packaging waste — the cardboard boxes that arrive daily from suppliers and are otherwise discarded. The minerals come from calcium carbonate of marine biological origin: chalk formed from ancient marine organisms, and lime derived from the same carbonate cycle. This is a bio-mineral material in a literal sense, not only a marketing one. It brings together three natural cycles: the forest cycle — cellulose fibre, the marine biogenic cycle — calcium carbonate, the carbonate cycle — lime carbonation as the panel cures.
No two panels are the same
We do not mass-produce identical items and we do not use industrial presses. Every panel is sculpted entirely by hand, which lets the natural materials shape the outcome.
That is why no two panels are ever alike. Each has its own texture, its own subtle variation in tone, its own character. Yet installed together they read as harmonious — their differences do not compete, they compose. It is a balance that mass production cannot reach, because nature never repeats itself.
Designed for acoustic comfort
-
Three-dimensional relief
The sculpted spheres scatter sound waves and reduce strong specular reflections, so reflected sound returns more evenly across the room. The panel works partly as a diffuser, not only as an absorber — which matters most in rooms full of hard, flat surfaces.
Recycled cellulose core
Micro-porous, not fully rigid — it adds internal damping to the panel body. -
-
Wood-wool base
An open, porous structure that sound waves pass into. Air moving between the fibres loses energy through friction. Wood wool has been used for decades in schools, restaurants, offices and concert halls for exactly this reason.
Mineral matrix
Lime, chalk and casein form a dense outer shell. Mass is what resists sound transmission through a wall, and the mineral layer adds it. -

Where we are with testing.
Laboratory acoustic testing to ISO 354 and ISO 11654 is planned, and we will publish absorption coefficients once they are measured. Until then we make no numerical claims. What we can say is that the combination of porous materials and three-dimensional geometry is expected to contribute to a calmer, less reverberant interior — and we believe this will prove to be one of the panel's strongest advantages.

Where to use it?
Hospitality — hotels, restaurants, bars
Rooms with hard surfaces and high occupancy, where acoustic comfort affects how long guests stay and how the space is remembered. Hemispherical pattern and colour can be adapted to a hotel brand.
Wall panels for bedroom interiors
Behind a headboard, or across a full cold external wall. This is where the product started — a bedroom wall that was cold and noisy — and it remains one of the most natural applications for the panelling.
Living rooms and open-plan spaces
The sculptural layer adds real 3D depth, creating a soft play of light and shadow across the wall. As day turns to evening, the piece changes with it, so it never looks quite the same twice.

Made in Scotland
Every panel is made by a Ukrainian family in our own workshop, where it is sculpted, cured and finished. The cellulose is recovered locally from packaging waste. Our founder, Oksana, moved to Scotland from Ukraine and has spent the past four years introducing Ukrainian design, lighting and craft to the UK market. The panel grew out of her work with British architects and designers, who wanted a wall surface that was decorative, functional and sustainable at once. The result is a wabi-sabi surface with real material substance.
Frequently asked questions
What are your 3d wall panels made from?
Only natural materials: the full list is in the specification above. There are no plastics, no synthetic surface coatings and no solvents.
Are the panels biodegradable?
Because the materials are natural in origin, we believe the panels will return to the soil at end of life, but this has not been formally tested yet. Biodegradability testing is part of our environmental programme.
Are they suitable for high-traffic areas?
Yes. The lime in the matrix carbonates over time, slowly turning to stone, so the surface grows harder and more durable with age. It can also be renewed at any time: simply get in touch with us.
Are these acoustic wall panels?
The construction is designed for acoustic comfort — a porous wood-wool base, a fibrous cellulose core and a three-dimensional relief that scatters sound. Laboratory testing to ISO 354 is planned, and we will publish measured absorption values once available. We do not quote figures before they are verified.
Are the panels fire rated?
The wood-wool base is fire-certified in its own right, and the mineral composite is inherently low in combustibility. Classification testing of the finished panel is planned. Please contact us for the current status before specifying.
What is the lead time?
Each panel is hand-sculpted and there are curing stages that cannot be rushed, so the typical lead time from order to delivery is approximately ten weeks.
For phased projects we can schedule production against your programme — please share your dates as early as possible.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Please contact us with your project location and volume and we will confirm.
