Khrystyna Kovaliuk is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and researcher, specialising in lighting and glasswork. Born in 1995 in the Lviv region of Ukraine, she earned a Master’s degree from the Lviv National Academy of Arts, focusing on artistic glass.
With a design career spanning over seven years, Khrystyna has worked as a lead designer for Pikart Lights, where she developed more than 90 unique lighting and interior pieces, that have been showcased at Ukrainian exhibitions such as DLT, KIFF, and Interior of the Year. Her work blends art and functionality, bringing contemporary aesthetics to mass-produced items.
Khrystyna now focuses on establishing her own lighting brand, integrating upcycling techniques into her designs to create sustainable, high-quality pieces. In parallel, she collaborates with NN ZVIR—a studio specialising in blown glass chandeliers and decor—and continues to design for Pikart Lights while creating bespoke commissions for private clients.
Currently, she is pursuing a PhD, with her research centred on the development of artistic glass lighting in public interiors in Ukraine, spanning from the mid-20th century to the early 21st century. Khrystyna’s work reflects a deep appreciation of traditional craftsmanship, infused with a forward-thinking approach to modern design.
